On March 30th the RMPC was invited to help the Colorado School of Mines develop a Midstream Oil and Gas Minor program for their students. We had a great first meeting and after a bit more work the minor should be forthcoming for Mines students in the next few semesters it looks like. We had interest from the PE folks, ME and Chem E. And thanks to input from some of the guys at Zion Engineering and Vanderpool Engineering they'll be on the right path towards enhancing their career perspectives in the midstream world.
Afterwards we gave a brief lunch and learn to the students on the fundamentals of midstream in the oil and gas value chain and had a good turnout and some wonderful questions.
A copy of the presentation is available here.
Thanks again to our friends at the School of Mines for reaching out and caring enough to involve local industry experts as they train the next bright minds.
